Pycon's venue is about 20 metres above this empty allotment, on the third floor, in an extension to the BCEC (the large white building with the unusual roof) built after this photo was taken. (Street view shows finished building.) The ground floor is occupied by the Olio Café. After entering the café you will find lifts at the far left. They will take you to the conference floor.
There are entrances to the BCEC along Merivale St and Glenelg St, with the main entrance on the corner of those streets, and car parking the size of several football fields underneath. When timing your arrival on the 1st day allow enough time for being lost within the BCEC, particularly if you don't use the Olio entrance.
