Web APIs are how much of the modern web speaks - services speaking HTTP and JSON are ubiquitous, and nearly everything from your phone to your TV interacts with one of them. We'll go over how APIs are structured and versioned, how you test them, and how you let people authenticate to them -- and what the best practices are when creating them.
HawkOwl is best known for releasing the past two versions of Twisted, writing random software, and living in the absolute middle of nowhere for most of their lives. Their goal is to make developers lives easier, and by extension, help them create better products.
